Medicare Insurance

Medicare Insurance is very different from the regular health plans you’ve been on previously. The government provides Parts A and B. Part A is primarily for hospital, Part B is for all other medical expenses if you’re not admitted to a hospital. Part A has no cost for most people. Part B has a monthly premium which is usually taken out of your Social Security payment ( or billed to you if you are not yet collecting Social Security). Medicare A and B does not cover prescriptions, and on their own will leave you with some very high potential claim costs. Because of this, most people get additional coverage from private insurance companies. One option is a Medicare Supplement that pays most of the Medicare deductibles and coinsurance. Also, a Part D Prescription Drug plan is needed. The alternative is a Medicare Advantage plan, which covers all Part A, B and D benefits in one plan and it covers many other benefits such as dental, vision and hearing, often with a $0 premium. Our Medicare specialists will guide you through the process and help you select the best option for your personal needs.
